6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (7 Sept - Results & Review)
4. Painfully Boring
Regardless of how short it was, the match between Otis and Austin Theory once again exposed how bland of a wrestler Theory really is.
Otis came out with Akira Tozawa to set up an impromptu opening match that saw the Alpha Academy behemoth tossing Theory around like a sack of potatoes. Austin got the upper hand with a neck snap on the ropes and some forearms to silence, then got a boot and hit an ugly running crossbody.
Theory would try to bail, but Otis took over again and went for the Caterpillar before Bronson Reed jumped him for the disqualification, triggering a Vision beatdown of Alpha Academy.
Honestly, if the end goal was this beatdown, why did we need the match? It was pedestrian at best and terminally boring at worst, and it reminded everyone that Theory is not a fun or interesting wrestler.
