6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Aug 31)

We can quibble about the match itself and that Keith Lee sold too much, but the fact remains that the former NXT Champion defeated two former WWE world champs on back-to-back nights this week.

The Limitless One beat Randy Orton at Payback in stunning fashion, and he followed that up in the opening match on Raw by defeated Dolph Ziggler with another Spirit Bomb. The match itself was fine, though Lee probably sold for too much of the match, when he really could have run through Dolph. However, he nailed several of his signature spots and countered a superkick into a Spirit Bomb for the win.

It was a good start to the night for Lee, though it would be great to see WWE break the format and have a different match than “babyface gets beat up, comes back and hits big move for win.”
