6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (June 21)

1. Tormenting Kofi

No one was giving Xavier Woods a chance to beat Bobby Lashley inside Hell in a Cell on Monday night, not even after Drew McIntyre was upset.

The match itself was pretty good, with Woods getting in a couple of decent hope spots, including a diving elbow drop through a table. But this was all about Lashley continuing to look dominant, and he did just that, as well as tormenting his Money in the Bank opponent, Kofi Kingston.

That came afterwards, when MVP locked himself in the cell – and locked Kofi out. Lashley put Xavier back in the Hurt Lock right in front of Kingston, pushing Woods up against the cell and leaving Kofi to yell hopelessly to let him go. It was a simple, yet effective, way to build up next month’s title match.

It’ll be interesting to see if Kofi drops the humor altogether or just downplays it, because he’s going to need to find another gear to hang with Lashley again. Having your best friend laid out in front of you can be great motivation.
