While much was made about Drew McIntyre’s injuries from Hell in a Cell, you can’t take anything away from Riddle after his Money in the Bank qualifying match on Monday night.

The Original Bro battled the Scottish Warrior in an excellent match, with the two unloading on each other. Both men fired off their best offense, with Riddle notably countering a Claymore attempt with a Bromission, and McIntyre hitting a top rope German suplex that turned Riddle inside-out.

In the end, Riddle picked up a clean win by turning an electric chair into a deep rollup for the pin. It was about as solid a win as you could get over someone who’s largely been extremely protected.

For McIntyre, he’s going to need to win something big soon after losing so much. Next week’s last chance MITB qualifying match could work well: he could win, Jinder Mahal pays off his promise and injures Drew, which sets up a blowoff match at SummerSlam.
