Can one big storyline with a bunch of spinoffs save an entire show? It can when it eats up an hour of Monday Night Raw.

This week’s edition of the red brand was dominated by the ongoing feud over the Raw Tag Team Championship, with the titles being defended in an excellent match that saw new champs crowned in RK-Bro. This would give us some nice character beats with most of the participants and then would set up a main event angle that previewed yet another WrestleMania encounter.

But if you backed out that opening hour of Raw, you would be left with a disappointing Raw that did still feature the main roster debut (if only temporary) of NXT Champion Bron Breakker and Kevin Owens calling out “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

However, Raw also included a 24/7 Championship title defense, more Omos, a confusing homecoming segment involving Miz, Logan Paul and Jerry Lawler, and a very strange promo and presentation from Edge.

No new matches were announced Monday night, though we learned with tag champs will defend the titles at Mania, and a new tag team was added to the mix for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match at the event. We’ve got less than four weeks, so WWE needs to start shoring things up here very soon.

With that said, let’s get to it…
