6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 29)

5. Rollins Rolls On

Logical booking reared its ugly head when the guy challenging for a world title actually won a match.

Seth Rollins came out to announce that he will face Big E at Day One for the WWE Championship, then squared off against Finn Balor. The two had a solid match full of counters to each other’s signature moves – something you’d expect from two wrestlers fairly familiar with each other.

But it was Rollins who grabbed the advantage via shortcut before putting Balor away with a stomp. And just like that, Seth picked up a victory in a competitive match to look like a winner moments after being announced as getting a world title shot. Throw in the fact that this came after being the sole survivor in the men’s Survivor Series match and you have a bit of continuity here.

So hat’s off to WWE for logical booking!
