6 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Fastlane 2021

5. More Bait And Switch

Elias Braun Strowman

Who here is excited to see Braun Strowman versus Shane McMahon?

If you raised your hand, get out. Just go.

Unfortunately, no one really thought we would be so lucky to get this godawful trainwreck over with before WrestleMania, and we were proven correct on Sunday night, when the scheduled match was scrubbed due to an “injury” Shane sustained while training earlier in the day. McMahon probably blew himself up hobbling to the ring and turning the match duties over to Elias, who got squashed by Braun in short order.

And thus Elias gets demolished (fine), and this stupid feud – where Strowman is the big, dumb hulking idiot – continues. At least he didn’t get a bucket of slime dumped on him.
