6 Ups And 10 Downs From WWE Fastlane 2016

4. The Opposite Of PPV Quality

In the lead-up to Fastlane, seven matches were announced, but fans were €œtreated€ to an eighth Sunday night. Unfortunately for those in attendance, they can€™t ask for a refund on the basis of the unscheduled bout.

Just before the main event, the Social Outcasts made their way out to the ring. Seeing how we just had a Cutting Edge Peep Show talk segment, it seemed odd they would be coming out to talk, but instead, Curtis Axel was in action against R-Truth, who noted that he was outnumbered. (Hands up if you were 100% convinced of what the outcome was going to be here.) And as predicted, Goldust made his way out to even up the odds.

But instead of the Golden Truth finally paying off those increasingly awful segments on Raw, Goldust cost Truth the match, and the rapping superstar left the Golden One in the ring dejected. So the meaningless storyline continues? Uggh. Awful on all fronts.
