6 Ups And 11 Downs From WWE Crown Jewel

UPS…

6. Oh Pyro, How We Missed You

You don’t really realize how much you miss the pyro for each wrestler until you see it again.

And that’s what really stood out about Crown Jewel. Nearly all the wrestlers got pyro for their first matches, which really added a little pop to their intro and made the even feel a little more special – even if it was a supersized house show.

Kurt Angle getting his pyro for his intro was particularly cool to see again, as was Rey Mysterio.

It’s understandable why WWE cut it out of its weekly programming – it’s expensive – but that doesn’t mean that we can’t lament its absence and celebrate its (temporary) return.
