6 Ups And 2 Downs From WWE NXT (May 25)

Downs...

2. Back-To-Back Attacks

Oney Lorcan Bobby Fish

Oney Lorcan's attack on Bobby Fish was fine, but it happened too soon after Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai had done the same to Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart. The result was that Lorcan's vicious kicking felt like a repeated trick by the writers on a show that didn't have many.

They should've spread this out a little.

Fish's match with Pete Dunne was typically watchable, and it is cool to report that the latter is seemingly being groomed for a main event run. However, this is the kind of thing some fans would roast Raw or SmackDown for, so it's only fair that NXT is held to the same standards.

Lorcan ambushed Bobby like he had been whipped into a frenzy by the women's attack earlier on. The commentary team didn't have much unique to say about it either, presumably because they'd blown their load during the opening tag beatdown.
