6 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (April 30th)
2. Improvement For Dana Brooke
The Glamazon 2.0 enjoyed a better show this weekend than her decidedly underwhelming debut. First of all, it certainly didn't hurt her than she was facing a woman as over with the crowd as Bayley. The crowd's rabid chants for the Hugger served a huge step up from the tepid reactions of Brooke vs Blue Pants. The fans clapped and stamped their feet throughout, giving the match momentum and pace, for which Dana should be grateful. She also demonstrated one or two new moves, hitting Bayley with a solid version of Barrett's Wasteland and demonstrating ferocity when viciously slamming the cheerful one's head into the canvas. Dana Brooke still has a ways to go, no doubt about it. She's far more look than substance at the moment, which the fans already realise, but this was a canny choice of opponent for her. If Brooke is going to catch on as the next big heel, she will need to match even better opponents and begin to really showcase her power. Perhaps Charlotte would be an ideal next opponent for the bombshell?
