6 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 18)
3. Lashley Gets Competitive
After that dumpster fire of an angle with Sami Zayn, Bobby Lashley needed something, anything to move onto.
What we got was the Dominator sizing up the Big Dog, Roman Reigns. That could be interesting for sure. And to his credit, Lashley didn’t mince words. He told Roman to “step aside” after three years of trying to beat Brock Lesnar and let someone else do it. That one cut deep, as Reigns is 0-4 in title matches against Lesnar.
But it wasn’t just words. Lashley would tag himself in in his match with Roman against the Revival to pick up the win with a spear – Roman’s finisher. Of course, that was Bobby’s finisher once upon a time.
Both men are supposedly in a multi-man match at Extreme Rules for a Universal Championship match, so they might not lock up in singles competition. But it was good to see Lashley pick on someone like Roman. Who knows? It might light a fire under him.
