6 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 18)

1. Rousey Gets Written Off For A Month

When GM Kurt Angle was holding Ronda Rousey back as Alexa Bliss verbally laid into her, fans clearly chanted, “Let them fight!” Thankfully, we got what we wanted.

Unfortunately for Rousey, her temper and overzealousness led to a 30-day suspension. Waffling the general manager repeatedly with a briefcase and attacking referees probably didn’t help matters. That means after coming seconds away from winning the Raw Women’s Championship in her first singles match, Ronda is off TV for a month.

This is actually a win-win. From a storyline perspective, it’s smart because it allows Nia Jax to get her rematch against Bliss without Rousey hanging over them, and when Ronda returns, she’ll have a natural feud. In reality, it gives Rousey, who overperformed Sunday night, a month to train and get better in the ring without being taken off TV mysteriously.

Hopefully, this will work out on both fronts for the former UFC champion.
