On the heels of an energetic and surprisingly good PPV, WWE had the opportunity Monday night to put on an explosive episode of Raw and perhaps ignite a fire and breathe some consistent life and momentum into the company.

What we got was a watchable episode that started out strong but faded as the show wore on, opting to run a rematch of the curtain-jerking PPV match as the Raw main event and keeping the four stars from the two main events out of the ring.

We saw the Miz and Dean Ambrose continue their never-ending feud, which presumably will continue until both quit WWE and move into a retirement community together. We also saw Brock Lesnar, Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns square off in a verbal confrontation that was a true highpoint of the show.

We also saw two feuds that didn’t make the cut for Great Balls of Fire Sunday night get some ring time on Raw, one of which worked, one that didn’t. And we saw what one has to hope is evidence that WWE is prepared to cash in on the Hardys as more than a nostalgia act.

With that said, let’s find out what is broken, what can be repaired, and what’s obsolete. Let’s get to it…
