While this writer agrees with the Dallas fans who chanted, “We want Balor!” Sunday night, not every rivalry can result in a PPV blowoff. We got what looks like the end of a mini-feud between Finn Balor and Elias Samson on Raw Monday night.

Samson had been enraged over Balor interrupting one of his performances a few weeks back and had targeted Finn. The two finally had their one-on-one match Monday, which showed Samson to be more of a worthy opponent than he had been in his NXT days.

In the end, Balor won decisively, and hopefully this detour of a rivalry is over. For Samson, his act is more about rattling the fans than anything, and hanging with Dean Ambrose and Balor in his first couple months is a decent start for him.
