6 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 10)
4. Cass Sets A High Bar
If you’re going to turn heel and declare that you want the spotlight, then you better have some lofty goals. Big Cass made sure to list a bunch of them Monday night, a day after annihilating his former tag partner Enzo Amore.
Cass drank in the boos that rained down on him before mockingly asking the crowd, “How you doin’?” He declared that he was going to WWE Universal Champion, main event WrestleMania, guest on the Tonight Show, have his face plastered on billboards and represent the company in all aspects. It’s exactly what a guy who envisions himself a top star should say.
Unfortunately for him, Cass also bragged about no one being on his level because of his size, drawing out the Big Show, who brawled with him until the younger giant bailed. This should serve as a decent first feud for Cass.
The only drawback of this segment is that it wasn’t followed up at all. No match was set for later that night or the following week. That would have been a logical move, or at least a backstage interview with Show explaining why he went out there. Anything would have been an improvement.
