6 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 28)

5. Murphy Avoids Comedy, Gets Win

Pitting Buddy Murphy against R-Truth could have had catastrophic results for the Australian superstar.

He could have lost. He could have been dragged into a comedy angle. Similarly, he could have been dragged into the 24/7 Championship scene that we knew would surface at some point during the match.

None of that happened. Sunil Singh ran around the ring a bunch of times as the “24/7 division” (aka jobbers galore) gave chase, and Truth joined them, running around a few times before diving back into the ring… and right into a Murphy knee for the pin.

This was about giving Buddy a TV win and exposure, while getting the 24/7 Championship on Raw as well. Mission accomplished.
