When the fans are actively sitting on their hands, you know you have a really bad segment. But that’s exactly what happened Monday night when Heath Slater and Rhyno, dressed as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, clashed with Tex Ferguson (Luke Gallows) and Chad 2 Badd (Karl Anderson).

The “Trick or Treat Fight” was WWE’s annual campy attempt at hardcore wrestling around the holidays. It involved a bobbing for apples station, pumpkins to throw, candy corn kendo sticks and Styrofoam tombstones.

But to make it worse, Gallows & Anderson dressed as their Southpaw Regional Wrestling characters, which brought this alternate universe into the main universe. A scary proposition when you consider that SRW was/is a great distraction from some lesser WWE storylines. And now it’s a punchline with Raw as always.
