6 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Dec 14)
2. Supernatural Feels Unnatural
You have to feel sorry for poor ol' Boa.
After it appeared as though he was finally going to get a bit of much needed attention as part of a Tian Sha group those in the back were clearly high on for a time, the vanilla henchman was soon relegated to third fiddle behind Xia Li and Mei Ying before the group was ultimately disbanded and swept under the rug.
Now, supposedly equipped with the same spirit that had occupied Mei Ying, he's at least picking up a few all-important W's, but it's just a shame next to nobody gives a toss or is willing to invest in the frequently rebooted star. The fact this was classed as the "latest" transformation for the talent last night tells you all you need to know about his NXT run to date, and not even a convincing win over another stale-on-arrival performer in Edris Enofe could excite those in attendance.
Is Boa beyond saving? If so, it's through no fault of his own as this display at least suggested there's a reliable worker underneath the supernatural nonsense. Your writer would suggest it's time to leave this other-worldly crap behind for good in the 2.0 landscape. But that would involve another Boa change-up which just feels downright cruel at this point.
