6 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 9)
4. Jordan Continues Chugging Along
Monday night showed that Jason Jordan does not need high-profile matches with top-level stars each week. Sometimes beating a tag team specialist in one-on-one competition is effective enough, especially after losing several bigger matches.
Since coming over to Raw, Jordan has lost to the likes of Finn Balor, John Cena and Roman Reigns, and he lost an Intercontinental Championship match against the Miz. While the announcers played up Jordan’s skill and ability (especially in his competitive losses to Cena and Reigns), he certainly could use a singles win under his belt.
Cue Karl Anderson, who battled Jason for a while but ultimately fell to a toss neckbreaker. The victory won’t show up on a highlight reel, but it put Jordan on the right path. Now that we’ve established that he’s a blue-chipper, maybe a few wins on the undercard will help him build some credibility (if that’s the ultimate goal, and not making him look like a spoiled kid handed opportunities by his father the GM).
