6 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Hell In A Cell 2017

3. Two Of The Best

There’s an old adage that when you pit two great players or teams against each other, they often up each other’s games, resulting in an even better contest. Think the Red Sox and Yankees in baseball.

So while pitting New Day against the Usos might not be on the level of 80s glory days tag team wrestling, they still are two of the best tag teams in WWE in recent memory. And matching the two teams up against each other has produced some excellent bouts this summer and fall. And Sunday’s Hell in a Cell match was no different.

We’ll discuss the match itself later, but let’s just give credit to the job these two teams have done to elevate tag team wrestling and captivate fans. They battled in only the third HIAC tag team match and made a PG PPV look brutal. And despite trading the SmackDown Tag Team Championships back and forth, they’ve made them something that should be a prize to capture.

Here’s hoping the next team to step up to face the Usos is game.
