6 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 11th)
3. Ziggler Looks Lost
Maybe its the jean jacket with the ripped sleeves and headband ensemble, but Dolph Ziggler looked like a guy who was just trying too hard Monday night. Its really tough to be critical of a guy who many feel has never really been given a chance to succeed, but for whatever reason, Ziggler hasnt really given fans much of a reason to get behind him lately. At one time, it looked like WWE was finally going to give Dolph a bigger role as he stood up to the Authority and then put them away by eliminating three of the five men at Survivor Series, banning the Authority forever. But once they returned five weeks later, it was all downhill for Ziggler. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHu8Z0yhBrc That freefall has included this recent feud with Sheamus, where Dolph is supposedly standing up to a bully, but he instead ends up flat on the mat. Sure, WWE plays up Zigglers whole Never say die attitude, but at this stage in his career, plucky underdog is not the role he should be aspiring to. It would be nice to see him not fighting from underneath constantly. It would be great to be proven wrong and have this just be a bad gut feeling.
