6 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 11th)

2. The MegaParodies

It was only a matter of time before AxelMania met its parody parallel, and we got it Monday night, with Macho Mandow making his debut. Yep, that€™s Damien Sandow, finally free and out from under the Miz€™s shadow, standing in Randy Savage€™s shadow. Naturally, they pitted Axel and Sandow against each other. WrestleMania V it was not. In a true example of saying what everyone is thinking, the Ascension came out seconds into this match and broke it up, stating that imitating €œtwo relics from the past€ is a pathetic attempt to jumpstart their flailing careers. Konnor and Viktor pointed out that there is a difference between being laughed with and laughed at. The impersonating duo not only chased off the Ascension, but they will now face the duo on the Payback PPV kickoff show after sharing a MegaPowers-like handshake after thwarting the Ascension. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUPf5lneUzQ The announcers summed it up perfectly: €œThat was really€. something.€ And once again, it€™s sad to see Damien Sandow still not show his own personality. There was a way for Sandow to emerge from this feud with the Miz and be a much stronger character. Instead, WWE has hit the reset button on Damien€™s development and had him revert back to impersonating different people. It€™s very nearly a tragedy.
