6 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Elimination Chamber 2019

3. Real Tag Team Wins Tag Titles

The entire Cinderella story of Miz and Shane McMahon had to end sometime, and it looks like WWE pulled the plug on it Sunday night.

The Usos won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship when Jimmy reversed a pin attempt by Miz to score a 3 count. The match itself was fine, aside from Shane being the dominant force with his trademark highspots. And naturally, it was Miz (who had just announced he’s about to become a father again) who ate the pinfall because you’ve got to keep McMahon strong for future bouts.

That aside, it’s good to see the tag titles on an established team and not prolonging the very strange, very odd story of Miz and Shane.

Of course, it’s very possible this could lead to a rematch, or a falling-out between the former champs, because we’re going to have to have a Shane McMahon match at WrestleMania, right?
