In recent weeks, we’ve seen 205 Live commentator Austin Aries boasting about his “beautiful package,” video highlights touting his eventual return. Monday night, the wait ended.

Aries was in the ring interviewing Neville after his successful Cruiserweight Championship defense against Rich Swann, and the King of the Cruiserweights boasted that everyone else were just pretenders, that there was no one left who could challenge him. Cue the fans, who were hip to the room and chanted for A-Double.

Neville sneered at Aries and called him delusional for even thinking he could hang with the champ. But Neville pushed things a little too far, and Austin struck back with a roaring elbow to send Neville scrambling and send fans into a frenzy.

Hats off to the writers, who have taken a cruiserweight division that was mostly an afterthought and turned it into something fans exploded for the past two nights. As mentioned before, this might not last, but we’ll celebrate it while it’s here.
