Chris Jericho’s face turn was about as sudden as you could ever imagine, with Y2J going from being a joking heel to the toast of the town in two appearances.

Of course, getting ambushed and then screwing over your best friend as revenge will help with that, but it was clear that the Chicago faithful were more than happy to rally behind Jericho and jeer Kevin Owens Monday night. Owens divulged that he never was friends with Y2J, that Jericho was just a tool he used to hold onto his Universal Championship.

We all knew this breakup was coming, and while we can gripe about KO’s loss last night, looking ahead to the former “best friends” facing each other at WrestleMania for the United States Championship has to excite wrestling fans. Both men are gifted on the mic – and they showed that they’ve got the chops Monday – and both can deliver in the ring, so this could be a show-stealing bout in four weeks.
