6 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 6)

1. The Nightmare Matchup

Roman Reigns The Undertaker

Oh dear God, they’re actually going through with it.

We’re a long way away from Shawn Michaels trying to prove his legacy, or Triple H trying to end an era. Now, it’s Roman Reigns trying to prove the ring is his yard. And so, we will get Reigns versus The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXXIII, where Taker is 23-1.

And how did the Chicago faithful treat this “dream” (in the mind of Vince McMahon) matchup? With long, lusty boos and chants of “Roman sucks!” They cheered loudly when Taker chokeslammed Reigns and left him prone on the mat. Yeah, this feud is certain to turn Roman into the made man Vince so desperately wants. If he topples Undertaker at Mania and the Deadman acknowledges his greatness, then fans will finally accept Reigns as “The Guy.”

Yeah, and there’s a bridge for sale in Brooklyn, cheap.

(Now, as a caveat, if Roman finally stops acting like the hero that so few follow and embraces the hatred, then we might have something and have to re-evaluate. But until then…)
