Here€™s a little context for WWE next time the writers think they€™re being clever: The Montreal Screwjob happened nearly 19 years ago. Most of your demographic audience either wasn€™t old enough to remember seeing it in 1997 or they weren€™t born yet.

So why does WWE insist on pulling a screwjob-esque ending just because Bret Hart was on the PPV? You can imagine parents having to stop and explain to their 12-year-old how seven years before they were born, the Hitman lost his title without ever submitting, much like what happened with Natalya against Charlotte.

Sure, we got the cool visual of Bret and Nattie slapping stereo Sharpshooters on Ric Flair and Charlotte, but did we really need to dig Montreal back up. Let it go, WWE.
