6 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Raw (June 13)

2. Riddle Shows Fire

No one is betting on Riddle to dethrone Roman Reigns in his first title defense as the Undisputed WWE Universal Heavyweight Intergalactic Champion, but the Original Bro made an impassioned case for winning the title Monday night.

Riddle came out unannounced because he wanted to hear Paul Heyman’s stipulation for their world title match on SmackDown “straight from the horse’s ass.” He put down Miz, then told Heyman that he doesn’t know who Riddle is and what he’s capable of (nice line), and that Roman is going to have to kill him to beat him.

The fire from Riddle was enough to sell even a major cynic on this potentially being a PLE-quality title defense on free TV. Throw in Heyman’s added stip of Riddle not being able to challenge for the title again if he loses, and you have the makings of a pretty good little match, one that could help better establish the Original Bro as a singles star.
