6 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Raw (June 13)

6. Four Weeks, No Tournament

WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
WWE

This really should be a “down” here at this point. It’s been four weeks since Naomi & Sasha Banks walked out of Raw and left the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship behind. A few days later, they announced a tournament to crown new tag champs.

And here we still are. No tourney has been announced, no new tag teams have been formed. No one has been called up to fill out the ranks. In fact, the only two viable tag teams on the main roster have been neutered: Natalya is competing for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, putting her team with Shayna Baszler on hold, and Doudrop & Nikki ASH haven’t won a match yet as a team (and struggled as singles).

None of this bodes well to see new champs crowned anytime soon, and the fact it’ll be more than a month (at least) before we get new tag champs with no plans announced shows how little they’re prioritizing this.
