6 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 5th)

6. Third Time€™s A Charm?

A large part of booking professional wrestling correctly is knowing when to pull the trigger on something, and when to pull the plug. You want to strike when things are their hottest to cash in on fan interest in the product. If you wait too long, then the reaction and interest can be greatly diminished. That is exactly what we€™re seeing with the Dudley Boyz and New Day feud. The Dudleys returned to great fanfare, getting a huge reaction when they showed up on the scene. They immediately set their sights on the WWE Tag Team Championships. While New Day is extremely hot right now, a three-week hotshot of the titles to one of WWE€™s biggest tag teams of all time wouldn€™t be terrible. But instead, we€™ve seen two DQ finishes, setting up a third match at Hell in a Cell that is much less-anticipated than their Saturday bout at Madison Square Garden €“ which was the right time to pull the trigger if WWE was going to switch the titles. One has to hope that we get a definitive finish at HIAC finally.
