6 Ups And 9 Downs From WWE TLC 2015

5. Maximum Mic Time

If you€™re a fan of WWE Tag Team Champions New Day, then you most likely enjoy nearly every time they take to the microphone. Their promos are what helped get them over with fans, and it€™s why they€™re one of the most entertaining acts in WWE today. Their group promo about how they would become the faces of the tag team division (€œWe don€™t hide behind masks or facepaint!€) was punctuated wonderfully with a preview of the next Wheaties cereal box cover that was eerily reminiscent of Edge & Christian€™s five-second pose €“ in a really good way. E&C helped revolutionize the tag team division during the Attitude Era, and while New Day isn€™t on that level, seeing them strike a pose like that definitely brought back good memories and made for a nice tribute of sorts. Of course, we got a nice bonus when Xavier Woods (who wouldn€™t waste a good hair day on Boston) joined the commentary team, showing that he€™s got a career on the mic after his in-ring days are over. Woods was exactly what you€™d want in a wrestler sitting in on commentary: he added to the dialogue, put over his charges and his opponents, and he was entertaining. You can€™t ask for much more.
