6 Ups And Downs For Last Night's WWE Raw (March 2nd)

2. The Best Kind Of Celebrity

You can tell the difference between a celebrity who is cashing a WWE check and who genuinely enjoys being there. Jon Stewart clearly not only enjoyed being on Raw Monday night, he was living his dream as a longtime pro wrestling fan. Stewart had been engaged in a war of words with Seth Rollins for the past week, with Rollins crashing Stewart€™s €œThe Daily Show€ program on Comedy Central Thursday night. Monday, Stewart returned the favor and joined Rollins on Raw. Unlike many other celebrities who badly mangle their few lines of dialogue and leave fans groaning, Stewart not only nailed everything (saying Seth looked like a €œSWAT team stripper with Lady Gaga hair€), he showed a solid knowledge of wrestling history. It also helped further Stewart€™s argument with Rollins that he attended the Money in the Bank PPV last year, so he was able to take another swipe at Rollins. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dn-iHzOZk2M The verbal confrontation ended when Rollins grabbed Stewart and was about the throttle him when Randy Orton€™s music distracted him, allowing the Daily Show host to low blow Rollins and flee. Yes, the celebrity once again got the better of the wrestler, but Stewart was clearly afraid and kicked Rollins low to get away, not to pin him for his briefcase. All in all, it was a pretty entertaining segment that didn€™t really harm Rollins.
