6 Ups And Downs For Last Night's WWE Raw (March 2nd)

1. Let Heyman Shoot Every Week

WWE might have found a formula that makes the Roman Reigns/Brock Lesnar feud bearable: Have Paul Heyman deliver monster promos building both up and have Reigns keep his mouth shut as much as possible. Heyman wasted no time in addressing the rumors of last week€™s Lesnar walkout and subsequent appearance at a UFC event as proof he was leaving WWE. Brock€™s advocate said Lesnar could be anywhere he damn well pleases because of who he is, sidestepping the question of whether Lesnar is leaving. Heyman also tore into the conventional wisdom that Reigns will win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, noting that fans believe it€™s been €œbooked by God€ to have Roman win. Paul shredded that line of thinking and made you feel dumb for doubting him or Lesnar. He even worked in a Ronda Rousey reference by saying that two things could happen to Reigns at Mania: he gets picked apart the way Cena did at SummerSlam, or he gets demolished in 14 seconds like Cat Zingano did Saturday at Rousey€™s hands. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3H8srtaTYO4 The promo served to temper the rumors of the past week and refocus things on the main event of WrestleMania XXXI, ill-fated though it might be. Sure, fans still are going to hate the outcome of Roman Reigns walks with the title, but at least give them promos like this until then.
