6 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 23)

3. Naomi And Natalya Have A Non-Total Divas Issue

Kudos to WWE writers: This is how two female wrestlers can get involved in a main storyline and then have their own spinoff issue. If only they could do this more often, and with the actual Divas Championship. Instead, every title angle seems to be rooted in Total Divas, a program wrestling fans don€™t watch, and those who watch it probably don€™t watch wrestling. During the WWE Tag Team Championship rematch between the Usos and Cesaro/Tyson Kidd, both Naomi and Natalya would get involved, with Naomi pushing Kidd€™s feet off the ropes. This prompted Nattie to shove Naomi down, then crotch Jimmy Uso on the top rope, drawing a DQ and raising the stakes since it cost Naomi€™s husband and brother-in-law a tag team title shot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1NwbvjdCoo Unlike the contrived double-date angle from Smackdown a few weeks back, this was a simple, very logical confrontation that sets up a women€™s match or a mixed 6-person tag match. So, kudos for an actual storyline involving women that makes sense.
