6. Letting The Talent Talk

Monday Night Raw opened a little differently this week€ no, not with a match, that€™s crazy talk. It of course opened with a talking segment, but for once, it didn€™t start with the Authority sauntering down to ringside to bore everyone to tears for 20 minutes. Instead, we got Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan squaring off for a bit €“ with Reigns shedding the nursery rhymes and finally acting like a human being again. (This carried over to other segments and could be its own €œup.€) When the Authority arrived, Bryan got to deliver the line of the night when Stephanie feigned disgust at putting Kane in a casket 10 days earlier. Bryan wasted no time in digging up a Katie Vick reference about Triple H, which was phenomenal for those who suffered through that angle 12 years ago. Letting Bryan and Reigns €“ the guys who are actually wrestling in the main event at Fast Lane €“ banter back and forth and build to their match is what is supposed to happen. It was nice to see this for a change instead of the Authority plugging themselves at the expense of everyone else. Hopefully that will continue.
