5. Shane McMahon Vs. Vince McMahon - WrestleMania 17
It's not just a list of the best wrestling matches ever. There has to be some variety. That's why Shane McMahon taking on his dad at WrestleMania 17 has to be on there. It's a story that had everything. There are thousands of better matches, but what they did really worked. Vince was such a jerk that he was drugging his wife Linda so that she was a comatose state and he could have an affair with Trish Stratus. While that was going on, Shane ended up buying WCW from under his nose. Then you had the backstory of Stephanie, who was loyal to Vince, hating Trish because she was with her dad. The match played out perfectly with Trish finally standing up to Vince and she brawled with Stephanie. Ref Mick Foley even kicked Vince's ass. Then there was the big moment when Linda got out of the chair, Vince spread his legs and she kicked him in the nuts for revenge. Then Shane finished it off by jumping across the ring with a dropkick into a trash can that was an emphatic way to end it. As I said, it's not about the best matches. It's about ones that would entertain. Seeing Vince getting his ass kicked by his family for all of his sins would be a lot of fun for anybody to watch.
