7 Early Signs From WWE That No Mercy Will Top SummerSlam 2017
5. Raw Tag Title Rematch May Carry A Stipulation
Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins winning the Raw Tag-Team Titles from Sheamus and Cesaro was one of the few highlights from a never-ending undercard at SummerSlam. All signs point towards a rematch at No Mercy, and it could carry a stipulation. WWE may need that to make the redo worthwhile.
Look back to Extreme Rules for proof of what Sheamus and Cesaro can do in gimmick matches. In June, their Steel Cage war against The Hardyz provided one of the best tag matches of 2017 so far. There's nothing to suggest they wouldn't tear the house down in a similar match against Ambrose and Rollins. This one writes itself.
WWE's 50/50 booking was out in force on Raw when Cesaro beat Rollins and Ambrose pinned Sheamus, so it looks like creative want to present a stalemate between both teams heading into No Mercy. That might suit some kind of Iron Man idea, or maybe even a barn-burning No DQ stip.
