7 Fascinating WWE Backstage Facts About Triple H

2. He Is The Mind Behind NXT

To many wrestling fans, NXT is quite simply the best wrestling product around at the moment. The WWE€™s development arm is getting rave reviews from fans and critics alike. There€™s no getting away from it, NXT is a product that has a massive buzz around it right now€ and rightly so. Many not be aware of it, but the main mind behind the NXT product is HHH. He is responsible for signing up a lot of the talent that has wowed fans and he also plays a big role in how the product is portrayed on TV and in the creative direction of the show. No doubt about it, NXT is must-see action these days. As such, huge props must go to HHH for the direction he's taken the brand in and for giving chances to darlings of the IWC like Tyler Black, Pac, El Generico, Kevin Steen, KENTA, Prince Devitt, and even possibly Samoa Joe if recent stories are to be believed. Given how lacklustre the general response has been to Raw and Smackdown, even to PPVs, over the last 6 months or so, it€™s amazing to see how well thought of NXT is in the wrestling community. With NXT, HHH has proved that he certainly has some great ideas in terms of what type of talent to bring in and how best to showcase them.

Once described as the Swiss Army Knife of WhatCulture, Andrew can usually be found writing, editing, or presenting on a wide range of topics. As a lifelong wrestling fan, horror obsessive, and comic book nerd, he's been covering those topics professionally as far back as 2010. In addition to his current WhatCulture role of Senior Content Producer, Andrew previously spent nearly a decade as Online Editor and Lead Writer for the world's longest-running genre publication, Starburst Magazine, and his work has also been featured on BBC, TechRadar, Tom's Guide, WhatToWatch, Sportkskeeda, and various other outlets, in addition to being a Rotten Tomatoes-approved film critic. Between his main dayjob, his role as the lead panel host of Wales Comic Con, and his gig as a pre-match host for Wrexham AFC games, Andrew has also carried out a hugely varied amount of interviews, from the likes of Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, Adrienne Barbeau, Rob Zombie, Katharine Isabelle, Leigh Whannell, Bruce Campbell, and Tony Todd, to Kevin Smith, Ron Perlman, Elijah Wood, Giancarlo Esposito, Simon Pegg, Charlie Cox, the Russo Brothers, and Brian Blessed, to Kevin Conroy, Paul Dini, Tara Strong, Will Friedle, Burt Ward, Andrea Romano, Frank Miller, and Rob Liefeld, to Bret Hart, Sting, Mick Foley, Ricky Starks, Jamie Hayer, Britt Baker, Eric Bischoff, and William Regal, to Mickey Thomas, Joey Jones, Phil Parkinson, Brian Flynn, Denis Smith, Gary Bennett, Karl Connolly, and Bryan Robson - and that's just the tip of an ever-expanding iceberg.
