7 Hidden Meanings Behind AEW Revolution Attires

1. Chris Jericho

For his last hurrah as AEW's Le Champion, Chris Jericho decided to indulge himself just a little.

Serenaded onto the stage by Meredith Bell and her awesome gospel choir, Jericho emerged in his spiked Painkmaker jacket, though, owing to the already gnarly scar around his eye, there was no need for any intimidating facepaint. Gone also, was the twatscarf, replaced with a fetching yellow and black neckerchief. That same colour scheme was repeated on Jericho's tights, dispensing with the usual grey and black.

A reference to Y2J's past-life as The Lionheart, perhaps? Maybe. More likely, the hazard stripes were in homage to American Christian rock band Stryper - a troupe Jericho has made no secret of his fondness for in the past.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
