7 Huge Returns WWE Fans Most Want In 2017

6. Sting

After years and years of speculation, Sting finally arrived in WWE in late 2014. While nobody expected him to have a full-time run in the company or anything of that sort, he only ended up competing in four bouts for the promotion. In his last - a WWE World Championship match with Seth Rollins - he suffered a career-ending neck injury. At his Hall of Fame induction speech in 2016, Sting officially announced his retirement.

It sounded like the book was closed on any more matches for "The Icon," but it's not that simple in wrestling. On an episode of the WWE Network's Table for 3 over the summer, Sting revealed that he hasn't yet had the neck surgery that he needs because it would officially force him to never get in the ring again, and he's still holding out hope for a match with The Undertaker.

Is it likely to happen? No, not at all. Still, it's one dream match WWE hasn't given the fans, and they'd be elated to see it.
