7 Main Eventers Who Flourished In The Midcard

Where do you even begin with Chris Jericho? He is a man who is adored by the WWE Universe regardless of whether he is playing a face or heel. The six-time World Champ is the undisputed (yet unofficially titled) King of the Intercontinental title having won the championship a record nine times putting on great matches with the likes of Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, and even Chyna.

The Intercontinental title hasn’t been around his waist since June 2009 but Jericho’s reigns as US champion earlier this year and his run as unified tag team champion with the Big Show proves the man doesn’t need the top title to be a star.

Jericho is also noted for his willingness to put over young talent. Looking back, it hardly seems real that Fandango holds a pinfall victory over Jericho (at WrestleMania no less!). It doesn’t matter where Jericho is on the card or what match he is wrestling, the veteran always delivers.
