7 Major Title Changes NOT On The WWE Network

6. Ric Flair Vs. Randy Savage (Prime Time, 14/9/92)

Ric Flair's WWF Championship victory over Randy Savage on the 1 September 1992 episode of Prime Time Wrestling was of such an unexpectedly low standard that a furious Vince McMahon demanded a retape in front of the live audience.

The fact was, both men were planning an exit strategy. Defending champion Savage was heading into his last high profile match for the company, disgruntled by the fact Vince McMahon was measuring his head for a headset. Flair, meanwhile, was simply not satisfied in the North East, and was looking towards a return to Atlanta.

Though the first effort was deleted, the pair got it right on the do-over. Nevertheless, it has yet to make its way to the Network, owing to the fact archived episodes of Prime Time only reach as far as 1989. Oddly, the standalone match is available on WWE's YouTube channel.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
