Ever since Johnny Gargano defeated Tommaso Ciampa in the first round of the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic, fans have been waiting for 'The Psycho Killer' to turn his back on Johnny Wrestling. It took almost a year to come, but Ciampa finally snapped following #DIY's ladder match loss to The Authors of Pain in Chicago.

Ciampa brutalised Gargano, nailing him with knees and strikes before hitting an Air Raid Crash off the announce table to the floor. The Chicago crowd responded with immense levels of vitriol towards Ciampa, and thoughts turned to seeing Gargano and his former best friend face off in Brooklyn.

This match is somewhat inevitable, and so it should be. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa's feud has gotten off to an intense start, and it could well end up a candidate for feud of the year. The two have proved in the past that they can create magic in the ring, and the rest of the card will have a tough time competing with this match.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
