Cast your mind back to late 2014.

Erick Rowan had been set free by Bray Wyatt, wasting at least two months' worth of storylines. Factions are formed in wrestling with the break up in mind. At least, they should be, but nothing about the Wyatt Family ever made sense. Rowan, it was revealed, was some sort of savant. He could solve a Rubik's cube in minutes. He was also a guitar prodigy and an expert vintner. He excelled at everything he tried his hand at, with the crucial exception of his day job, professional wrestling.

The gimmick totally bombed and was hastily retconned, never to be spoken of again. It was a failed experiment - so why WWE is playing Frankenstein again with his former pal, Luke Harper, is anybody's guess.

WWE released a SmackDown fallout video this week in which Aiden English approached Harper backstage. "A great poet once said," English began. "That true nobility is exempt from fear. I want you to remember those words."

It turns out that he didn't need to, because he was already aware that one William Shakespeare borrowed them from Cicero. The implication is that Harper is some sort of hidden genius well versed in both literature and philosophy - and yet he and Rowan were dumb enough to get brainwashed twice by Bray Wyatt.
