7 Most Insane Things Happening In Wrestling Right Now (March 31)

4. Triple H Takes Picture With Triple H

Double Triple H
Twitter (@TripleH)

There are two Triple Hs; the man who plays a heel on television (but not-so-secretly loves being cheered) and the man who revels - understandably, it must be said - in his role as the real-life saviour of what was WWE's absolutely dismal developmental system.

The second Triple H has reared its head before WrestleMania Weekend began in earnest, trying to make a "thing" of his "I'm pointing to a new NXT Champion to remind everybody that they got here because of me" bit with a cardboard cut out of himself at Axxess.

Not stopping there, Triple H also sought face pops at Axxess by just wandering out and shouting "Who's ready for 'Mania?!" There was hardly anybody there, it isn't storyline canon, and kayfabe has been dead forever - but he can't be both guys at the same time. Greeting the fans at Axxess, when he's trying to get those fans to fully get behind Seth Rollins' babyface act, is just baffling. Posting his "Hey, aren't I great connecting with the common man" bit on Twitter, even more so. He did it last year, too, by no-selling Roman Reigns' beatdown by appearing at the NXT TakeOver: London following TLC 2015 without a scratch. Thing is, he's slowly merging the two roles onscreen these days - but operating within the latter one entirely at his own convenience.

It's all about The Game.
