On the surface, using arm wrestling as a way to build towards a pay-per-view match isn't the worst idea. After all, definitively showing that one man (preferably the heel) has greater strength than the other before locking horns in a major bout helps create more support for the chosen sympathetic character.

Heading into SummerSlam 2008, Triple H was booked to defend the WWE Title against The Great Khali. The match itself surprisingly turned out to be decent, despite loud chants claiming that Khali could never wrestle the big Indian was useful when in there with the right kind of talent. Thankfully, Triple H was willing to sell like a demon for his much larger peer.

Rather unfortunately, the set-up for the match suffered from being totally ridiculous. On the August 8, 2008 edition of SmackDown, both men faced one another in what was hilariously billed as an 'Indian Broken Glass Arm Wrestling Match'.

Naturally, it all ended in shenanigans when Khali reached across the table and planted a head butt on 'The Game'. A few questions must be asked. Why was Triple H almost winning the contest? Further, what was Indian about this broken glass?
