It's a bit of a surprise that Bayley didn't rush out to ambush Becky Lynch following 'The Man's' loss to Lyra Valkyria at Backlash. Becks held her arm submission on Lyra a little longer (Valkyria desperately held her nose during all of this, so that might be broken) and refused to let go. One was just waiting to hear Bayley's divisive entrance track blare over the speakers, but that didn't happen.

There's time yet.

WWE's writers might be holding something back for Monday's episode of Raw. Lynch will no doubt bitch and complain about how things went down in St. Louis, then she'll probs challenge Lyra to another Women's Intercontinental Title bout. That's when Bayley can burst back onto the scene and hunt down a woman who took her out of the tag title running at WrestleMania 41.

This has to happen. A fresh wrinkle or two wouldn’t go amiss for Bayley either, because it’s clear she needs a harder edge as a babyface. Backlash won't be the last we see of Becky vs. Lyra, but it's telling that the company went with a gutsy win from Valkyria. Most, including this fan, thought she'd drop the belt here.

Something could also be brewing with some disgruntled veterans in the women's division. Alexa Bliss asked to speak with Charlotte Flair (who's still reeling from her loss to Tiffany Stratton in Las Vegas) on the 'go home' edition of SmackDown before Backlash, and now Becky just lost to another rising star.

Bayley sticks out as the only true female veteran around at the moment who wants to build fresh names up rather than tear them down.
