7 Occupational WWE Gimmicks That Were Really Stupid

The wrestling business is filled with stupid characters. We've seen plenty of them over the years and there are even some bad ones in WWE today. It's part of the business. Vince McMahon and company will throw different types of characters out there to see what works. People that call him a genius might want to remember some of the bad gimmicks that WWE has put in the ring over the years. There are many different types of stupid gimmicks, but the ones we're looking at today are those that are based on real life occupations. It would seem like WWE has covered a lot of different fields by creating characters based on different kinds of jobs. It's likely because they don't want their characters to be too similar. Not everybody can be "Stone Cold" Steve Austin or The Rock. They need to mix in other characters just because that's how the business has always been. Some of the occupational characters in the past were actually good like the Big Bossman because he pulled off playing a cop well. Irwin R. Schyster was successful as an angry tax man. Even Val Venis as a porn star actor or The Godfather as a pimp worked well. Those last two aren't traditional jobs by any means, but they still count as gimmicks based on career. This isn't a look at the good ones, though. This is about the ones that were bad ideas that failed miserably. Here's a look at seven wrestling gimmicks that WWE used that were based on actual jobs that people have.
