7 Options To End Brock Lesnar's WWE Universal Championship Reign

6. Bobby Lashley

Speaking of individuals who many assumed would come in hot and stand up to Brock Lesnar, what in the blue hell has happened to Bobby Lashley? The Dominator returned to WWE on the RAW after WrestleMania, but all the good work done in TNA over the past few years seemed to go flying out the window. The former WWE US Champion was right back where he was before leaving in 2008 — a charisma vacuum with a hugely impressive physique and nothing else.

WWE tried to inject some personality into Lashley this past Monday during a sit-down interview, but it achieved the opposite. In his one month back in WWE, Lashley had done nothing except botch his way around the Greatest Royal Rumble and give hot tags to Braun Strowman.

Is Bobby Lashley a lost cause? Of course not. All WWE needs to do is stop trying to give him a personality and just concentrate on building him up as a killer. Lesnar has consistently defeated professional wrestlers, but he hasn’t really had to defend against a true fighter. Not yet, at least.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
